An ongoing charity drive in northern Nevada is seeking to help a local children's charity and local construction education programs.
Metcalf Builders is putting on the "Toys & Tools Holiday Drive," which is running through Monday, December 18th.
The toys part of the drive will provide children's toys to Toys for Tots, while the tools part will provide tools to construction program classrooms at ACE High School and Western Nevada College.
“The initiative aims to contribute to the educational and recreational needs of the next generation of builders,” said Metcalf President and CEO Bryce Clutts, referring to the tools that will be collected and donated. “We know that classrooms can use extra tools as the students work through their curriculums and learn about the different aspects of construction.”
The toy donations need to be new and unwrapped, and the tools need to be in good condition and range anywhere from power-tools to wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers and more.
You can drop off toys or tools any time between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays at the Metcalf Builders main office on South Curry Street in Carson City, the Palomino Apartments Jobsite on Damonte Ranch Parkway in Reno, the Stonebrook Apartments Jobsite on Tierra Del Sol Parkway in Sparks and the Valage Senior Living Community Jobsite on Ironwood Drive in Minden.
