Washoe County Sheriff's Office deputies found a missing California teen during a recent traffic stop.
On Tuesday, K9 deputies conducted a traffic stop on eastbound Interstate 80 near Mogul.
During the stop, deputies found a man driving with a 13-year-old female passenger. An investigation revealed the girl was reported missing out of California.
Further investigation determined the driver, 20-year-old Christian Tellez, had taken the teen from California into Nevada and was traveling toward Utah.
Tellez was arrested on charges of felony first degree kidnapping of a minor, driving with a revoked driver's license and lack of insurance.
This remains an active investigation.
