Truckee Meadows Water Authority hosted Smart About Water Day on Saturday, May 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event allowed people to learn more about water resources in our area.
It featured projects and plans that contribute to the overall state of water in the Truckee Meadows.
Attendees were able to speak with scientists and water planning experts from local agencies.
There were presentations throughout the day, starting with our region's Water Supply Outlook by Bil Huack, TMWA's Water Supply Supervisor.
Tree tours, led by the City of Reno's arborist, happened at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
There were also a number of informational tables, as well as food trucks and learning activities for kids.
