Two people have been arrested following an armed robbery at a residence in Spring Creek.

On Wednesday just before 4:15 p.m. dispatchers got a call from a man saying he was the victim of an armed robbery at his home in Spring Creek, according to a Facebook post from the Elko County Sheriff's Office.

He said the suspects, later identified as 32-year-old Tessa Patchett and 29-year-old Casey Quigley, both of Elko, fled the scene in a gray Toyota Tacoma.

A sergeant and deputy with the Sheriff's Office found the Toyota and a low speed chase began near the intersection of Spring Valley Parkway and Empress Drive.

The chase ended on Katie Drive when the suspects reached the end of the road. They then got out of the Toyota and fled on foot.

Patchett, identified as the driver of the vehicle, was taken into custody, while Quigley fled up Elko Mountain.

Sheriff’s Deputies tracked him through the snow, over the mountain, and toward the area of Powder House Road.

The Elko Police Department was in the area of Powder House Road responding to an unrelated incident.

The Sheriff’s Office stopped searching for Quigley to avoid inadvertently walking into the active scene where the Police Department and Elko Combined SWAT team were located.

A homeowner on Powder House Road called 911 saying they saw Quigley jump a fence into a property where he was subsequently found and arrested in a bard around 8:30 p.m.

An initial investigation revealed multiple victims of the robbery, and that the victims were known by the suspects.

One of the victims suffered a minor laceration to his head.

The investigation is ongoing pending search warrants and follow-up procedures.
