The Douglas County Sheriff's Office arrested two people on Friday, April 5 on charges related to credit card fraud and identity theft.
Douglas County deputies responded to a call at Edgewood Tahoe Resort on Friday due to reports of a woman using a stolen credit card to pay for charges.
The woman, identified as Kaleigh Thinnes, allegedly reserved the room using a fake name and identification.
Deputies say Thinnes also had four warrants out of Florida and California for identity theft and being part of an organized identity theft ring.
She was with a man, Gabriel Pizarro-Flores, who was allegedly in possession of a controlled substance and burglary tools.
Deputies found multiple bags with about 10 passports belonging to other people, as well as identifying information of other people.
Deputies say the vehicle they were using was purchased using the identity of another person as well.
Thinnes, 34 years old and from Sarasota, Florida, faces charges of defrauding an innkeeper, fraudulent use of credit cards, possession of stolen property, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, and identity theft.
Pizarro-Flores, 38 years old, faces charges of defrauding an innkeeper, fraudulent use of a credit card, possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia, and possession of burglary tools.
