According to a release from the Washoe County Coroner's Office, the victim who died in a motorcycle crash on Geiger Grade on Saturday has been identified.

76-year-old Robert Klein, of Sparks, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. 

The cause of death was multiple blunt force trauma injuries due to a motorcycle-motor vehicle crash.

Update, 8:45 p.m.:

A preliminary report from Nevada State Police says the crash took place near mile marker two on Geiger Grade Road, which is near the lookout, around 4:25 p.m.

A motorcycle was traveling northbound when it crossed into the southbound travel lane and hit a Subaru head-on.

The rider of the motorcycle died on the scene. The two occupants in the Subaru were transported to a local hospital for precautionary measures.

A fatal crash is blocking lanes in both directions near Loftis Road on State Route 341, Geiger Grade Road.

According to the Storey County Fire Protection District, the crash involved a motorcycle and a car.

According to Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, the road is closed at this time. The Storey County Fire Protection District estimates the closure will last one to three more hours, as of 6:45 p.m.
