An overturned semi-truck is blocking the righthand northbound lane of I-580 in Washoe Valley near Bellevue Road.
The truck was blown over by wind according to a spokesperson from the Nevada State Police and hit an unoccupied vehicle on the shoulder of the road as it crashed.
The Nevada Department of Transportation is currently not allowing trucks through Washoe Valley due to high winds, and other high clearance vehicles should find alternate routes.
The crash happened just after 3 p.m.
The semi was carrying mail, and the trailer was breached in the crash, spilling mail onto the roadway. It could take time to clean up the mail that spilled out according to Nevada State Police.
Heavy duty tow trucks are heading to the scene.
All drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible.
