Leaders at the Group of Seven summit have backed U.S. President Donald Trump's tentative agreement with Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz and extend a ceasefire. French President Emmanuel Macron called it a “very good deal,” noting it could stabilize the region and benefit economies. The deal is set to be signed in Switzerland on Friday and aims to end U.S. and U.N. sanctions on Tehran if a final agreement addressing Iran’s nuclear program is reached.. G7 leaders also discussed supporting Ukraine against Russia and tackling global drug gangs. Trump also discussed strengthening trade ties with India.
