Nevada Highway Patrol says that Tuesday morning, they stopped a 32-year-old woman from Oklahoma on I-80 near Winnemucca for speeding where they found Marijuana and Meth inside the vehicle.
An NHP Trooper says that on Tuesday, October 18, at about 6:30 AM, they stopped a black passenger car traveling eastbound on I-80 near Winnemucca, for speeding.
Authorities say that when the Trooper contacted the driver, Leila Ibarra, a 32-year-old from Oklahoma, they suspected criminal activity and upon further investigation they found 21 pounds of Marijuana and two pounds of Methamphetamine inside the vehicle.Â
Officers say there was also a young child in the vehicle under the age of 18. Ibarra was arrested and transported to the Humboldt County Detention Center without incident.
NHP says Ibarra was booked on the following charges:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana and Methamphetamine
- Sales of a Controlled Substance/Trafficking-Marijuana and Methamphetamine
- Transport of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana and Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Drug Not Allowed on the Interstate
- Speed
- Unlawful to Allow a Child to Be Present During the Commission of Certain Violations Which Involve a Controlled Substances Other Than Marijuana.
