UPDATE: The Washoe County Sheriff's Office says there was no evidence indicating any suspicious incident occurred at North Valleys High School after it went on a precautionary code yellow lockdown Monday afternoon.
They said the Washoe County School District will investigate the nature of the report.
Jeana Curtis, the principal of North Valleys, sent out an email stating "School Police has found no evidence of any credible threat at our school."
Curtis said the police activity was prompted by a 9-1-1 call about a possible incident taking place at the school. No other details were provided about the call.
Curtis said classes were held as usual and will continue for tomorrow as well.
She said the Washoe County School District take comments and rumors seriously, and the safety and security of students and staff are their highest priority.
The code yellow has been lifted.
"It's over, it's nothing serious, but it does worry you, being a parent it worries you a lot," says Ivan Gonzalez, parent of a North Valley High School student.
