A Carson City store called The Beekeeper, is Northern Nevada's first business dedicated to all things beekeeping related.
Heather Angeloff, owner of The Beekeeper, says the store carries all the supplies necessary for expert beekeepers and people who are just getting started.
"We have many back yard beekeepers that just have one hive in their backyard and they're still doing their part and they have amazing looking gardens," says Angeloff.
Inside Angeloff's store, customers will find jackets with veils, tools and all the hive components necessary to have a yard just for beekeeping.
 Angeloff has been interested in beekeeping for about 10 years and she says how hard it was to find the equipment when she was starting the hobby.           Â
She says there are a growing number of people who are looking to get involved in beekeeping, and this new store is her way of giving back.
"If I can help save bees, if I can help other beekeepers do the same, that's all I can ask for," says Angeloff.
The Beekeeper is located on east Williams street in Carson City.
The store is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 2:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and also on the weekends.
