Several area government offices will be closed Thursday for Veterans Day.
City of Reno administrative offices will be closed on Thursday, November 11, 2021 in observance of Veterans Day.
The City of Reno will host the annual Veterans Day Parade on November 11 at 11:11 a.m., rain or shine, downtown on Virginia Street.Â

City of Reno recreation facilities will also be closed on November 11. Please visit Reno.gov/ParksandRec for more information.

Most Washoe County administrative offices will be closed for the observance of Veterans Day on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021.Â

All Washoe County Libraries will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 11. Book drops and online services will remain available. Access library hours and online services at www.washoecountylibrary.us.
Regional Animal Services Shelter Operations and Office will be closed, but field operations will continue as normal.

The Office of the County Clerk at the Washoe County Complex will remain open throughout the holiday, November 11, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the issuance of marriage licenses, fictitious firm names and notary bond filings. Appointments are encouraged for marriage licenses and can be made on the website. Regular working hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day of the year, except holidays.

RTC administrative offices will be closed on Thursday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day.
As the transit employees’ strike continues, visit rtcwashoe.com for information about free, limited RTC RIDE, RTC FlexRIDE, Uber, and taxi services available during the strike.
RTC Customer Service will be open on Thursday from 8 a.m. – noon and 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. for assistance.
Masks are required when riding public transit vehicles and at transit facilities through January 18, 2022, per the TSA.

The City of South Lake Tahoe’s administrative offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veteran’s Day. All operations will resume normal business hours on Friday, Nov. 12.
 The following municipal offices will be closed:
- The City Manager’s Office, City Attorney’s Office, Human Resources, and the Finance Front Counter, all located at City Hall, 1901 Lisa Maloff Way.
- Development Services, 1052 Tata Ln.
- Public Works, 1740 D St.
- Front counter/records of the Police Department
The following offices will operate with no schedule changes:
- The Lake Tahoe Airport, located at 1901 Lisa Maloff Way, will maintain regular operating hours, 7am-4pm.
- Parks and Recreation will maintain regular operating hours for the Recreation and Swim Complex at 1180 Rufus Allen Blvd., 7:30am-4:30pm.
- South Lake Fire Rescue, South Lake Tahoe Police Department, and dispatch will continue regular operations. Contact 911 for emergencies.
