Nevada Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating an accident that claimed the life of a man earlier this week in Fernley.
The Lyon County Sheriff's Office says a worker, identified as Christopher Smith, was killed when a pipe fell off a flatbed truck and crushed him.
BV Nevada Corp. dismantles trucks, located on Speedway Road.
OSHA says they can't comment on this specific incident since the investigation remains ongoing. However, it does say that investigation should be done sometime next week.
BV Nevada Corp. remains open, and has been in normal operations since the accident. It also can't comment because of the ongoing investigation.
