At the Mt. Rose Highway summit parking lot above Reno, you pick up the trail to hike to the Galena Waterfalls, also know as the Mt. Rose waterfalls as it's located on the trail to the Mt. Rose Summit. A five mile out and back hike will take you to the waterfalls, or keep going to the Mt.
