Niemeyer & Friends and the Alta Vista Community Resource Center are putting on a charity fundraiser for a local child with cancer.
A poker tournament will be held on November 10 at the Club Cal-Neva. Doors open at 5 p.m. for pre-registration and cocktails, and the first keg of beer is free.
The tournament starts at 7 p.m. Buy-in is $75, while re-buys are $20.
The event will benefit a local 13-year-old boy named Jack who is fighting stage 4 osteosarcoma (bone cancer).
His family is needing help covering medical costs, which includes a full knee replacement, surgeries to remove 16 tumors from his lungs and 10 to 12 months of chemotherapy; as well as costs to move to Los Angeles for treatment.
You can pre-register online and get an extra $500 in tournament chips at https://squareup.com/store/alta-vista-community-resource-center.
