Sparks Police: Traffic Accident Shuts Down Portion of North Vista Blvd.

Sparks Police officers say a man was shot in the leg during an attempted robbery on Coney Island Drive late Wednesday night.

Police say the victim was in the area of 399 Coney Island Drive, around 10:30 p.m. when he was approached by two unknown males who demanded all of the property he was carrying. 

One of the suspects, described only as wearing a dark-colored hoodie sweatshirt and light-colored shoes, showed a firearm and shot the victim's leg. 

The victim was transported to Renown Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is on-going.
