As we've been following for years, Rancharrah in Reno is no longer just a ranch.
Located at the corner of Neil Road and Kietzke Lane, it's now a community filled with luxury homes, and Roger Reinke is their first resident.
The 141-acre property isn't just bringing homes to the area, developers says they hope new residents in the area will have a positive impact on local businesses.
Rancharrah was originally home to the Harrah's family, now they are sharing their legacy with up to 600Â luxury homes on the property.
"It just feels really nice, warm, cozy, and comfortable. It's just a wonderful comfortable place to live," says Reinke.
For Reinke, Ranacharrah is home, but the property will offer much more.
Joel Grace the Vice President of Development at Reno Land Inc. says, "You'll still see events on the mansion front lawn we have open space behind there as well for different events. We have bocce courts, a large pool complex planned, so there is going to be quite a few new amenities."
That's not all there will be an onsite spa, club house, kids camp, and more.
Some things on the ranch will remain the same.
"We kept the mansion, we just changed the use, which I think everyone will be very pleased when that's completed. The equestrian center is still there," says Grace.
Reinke won't be the only one living on this Reno landmark.
"You know we have a really great mix of people who have bought in here. You know you have people who have moved here from other places. You have people who moved out of Incline trying to get out of the snow line. This is kind of in the center of town," says Grace.
Grace believes with our population increasing in the area, it can only mean positive things for local businesses.
"I think you are going to see the existing businesses around here are probably going to increase in traffic and in business, which is great for our overall community," says Grace.
