A red flag warning is up for much of California Wednesday through Thursday afternoon, with high fire danger coming from gusty winds 30-40+mph in the Sierra, around Lake Tahoe and for the western slopes of the mountains.
A lake wind advisory is also up for Lake Tahoe with 30+mph gusts out of the east, and 1-3 foot waves along the western shores possible.
Sunny and cooler for our valleys with 10-20mph winds out of the east and a high of 69 degrees in Reno.Â
