Reno Police say they arrested several people for attacking the RPD main station this Saturday. But, they add they still need help finding other suspects who threw rocks at the station and parked police cars.Â
Police say the suspects also tagged the station with anti-police graffiti, and removed and burned the American flag.
On Wednesday, police announced that they arrested one additional suspect.Â
Police say Wesley Compton was arrested for Theft (Felony) and Destruction of Property (Gross Misdemeanor). They say carried the Police Department badge replica and threw rocks at officers during the riot and will be additionally booked for Assault on a Police Officer.Â
The second suspect, remains on the loose.Â
Authorities say he is responsible for destruction of property at City Hall, including entering and helping to start a fire inside City Hall.Â
Authorities say members of the group below also unsuccessfully tried breach the police station causing additional damage. They say the rioters expanded to Reno City Hall where they forced entry into the building and proceeded to set fires and loot.Â
Police say Leonel Jimenez was arrested for Burglary and Felony Destruction of Property. They theses charges stem from his involvement in the City Hall incident. Authorities say he was stomping on a Police Department badge replica.
Police say Ekepati Taua was arrested for Burglary, Felony Destruction of Property, Riot and 2 counts of Assault on a Police Officer for his involvement in the City Hall incident.
A third suspect, a 17-year-old boy was arrested for Gross Misdemeanor Destruction of Property and a Probation Violation. They say he threw rocks and damaged the front door of the station and threw rocks into the police vehicle parking area damaging patrol vehicle windows.
Police say they are looking for a suspect who took down RPD's American Flag and took part in its desecration. He is dressed in black, wearing a mask and holding the cardboard sign.
