The Reno Fire Department says they were on scene of a complicated extrication crash on Wednesday afternoon.

The Reno Police Department says the crash was in the 1900 block of East Fourth Street.

Reno Police says there were two drivers involved in the crash.

They said the two were trapped in their cars and had to be extricated.

Reno Police say a white pick up was going east on East Fourth Street when it crossed the center line and struck a westbound passenger car head-on.

They said the female driver of the passenger car was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

They said the driver of the pick up was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Reno Police say neither speed or impairment appear to be factors at this time.

They said they are seeking additional witnesses to the crash. Anyone with any information is urged to contact Reno Police at (775) 334-2141.

East Fourth Street should be reopened between Sage Street and Ferrari Street by 8 p.m.
