The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority announced Tuesday that it will offer non-stop service to Boise on Alaska Airlines starting this November 5th.
“Boise is a great addition to our growing list of non-stops and it will also provide convenient connecting service to Spokane, Washington,” Marily Mora, President/CEO of Reno-Tahoe International Airport said. “We appreciate Alaska Airlines bringing Boise back to our community.”
Non-stop service to Boise was previously offered on Southwest Airlines but left Reno- Tahoe in January 2012.
“Alaska Airlines is showing its growing commitment to the Reno-Tahoe region,” Mora said. “Now that we have landed this service again for our community, it is very important for our region to support the flight and fill the seats.”
Horizon Air, Alaska's sister carrier, will fly the route with a 76-seat Bombardier Q400 aircraft. It will depart Reno at 4:35 p.m. and arrive in Boise at 6:55 p.m. It will depart Boise at 6:15 p.m. and arrive in Reno at 6:44 p.m.
To inaugurate the new service, Alaska is offering introductory one-way fares as low as $79 on flights between Boise and Reno. To take advantage of these fares, customers must purchase tickets by July 7 and travel by Feb. 7, 2016.
