For the last six years the Brewer's Cabinet has hosted Reno's Strange Brew Festival, a self proclaimed celebration of uniquely crafted beers from local breweries.

This year on Saturday the Strange Brew Festival featured live music, food from local food trucks and beer from 18 different local breweries.

"Strange brew festival was born out of our home brew festival, we did that for a couple of years and some weird stuff came out of that and we decided this would be a great forum for experimental brews and for brewers to get together and do fun stuff and collaborate." said Zach Cage co-owner Brewers Cabinet. "If you're a beer aficionado this is where you come to see what might be the next wave in the craft beer scene."

What exactly is a strange brew? It can be anything from a brew dedicated to the Adult Swim show Rick & Morty, a sushi flavored brew, a Jolly Rancher sour or a garlic bread brew.

This event was also for a good cause. Some of the money raised from today's event will go towards the Reno Rebuild Project.
