Reno Police are investigating the theft of several large pieces of copper from a downtown Reno construction site.
Police say between August 31st and October 15th of this year, two unidentified individuals have stolen more than $12,000 in copper Buss bars and electrical boxes from the construction site of the Marriott across from Aces Ballpark.
The copper Buss bars have a silver coating, and are approximately 3’ in length by 5” and are about 2.5’ thick. They have numerous square holes symmetrically stamped into the bars and were in brand new condition at the time of the theft. Police believe it’s likely that the suspect(s) would cut or damage the bars prior to selling them for scrap.
Secret Witness is offering a reward in the amount of $500 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect(s) wanted in connection with this theft.
