RTC transit services will operate on a Sunday schedule on Monday, July 4th.
Administrative offices will also be closed in observance of Independence Day. The RTC SIERRA SPIRIT will continue operating on its regular schedule, as it does on all holidays. RTC INTERCITY will not be operating Monday.Â
On Sunday, July 3rd, the RTC in partnership with the Nugget, City of Sparks and Washoe County School District, will provide free shuttle service to and from Star Spangled Sparks. Everyone is encouraged to park at Reed High School on Baring Boulevard and ride the free shuttle to RTC CENTENNIAL PLAZA at Victorian Square. Buses will come about every 20 minutes, with the most frequency during afternoon and evening hours. The shuttle will operate from 10 am to midnight. The stop for the shuttle at Reed is the one closest to the community center.Â
Other bus routes will continue to collect a regular fare. The free shuttle service for everyone is made possible with funding from the Nugget.Â
