The 97,717 acre King Fire in El Dorado County, California is now 100% contained after sparking west of Lake Tahoe on September 13th.
Some popular recreation areas will re-open to the public on Tuesday. Rubicon Jeep Trail, Wrights Lake, Desolation Wilderness and the east side of Ice House Road were closed due to the King Fire.
The weekend's steady rainfall helped firefighters boost containment on the King Fire that's burning west of Lake Tahoe. It's now 92% contained.

The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a flash flood warning for the King Fire burn area in El Dorado and Placer Counties until 6:15 p.m. Thursday.
Some residents in Swansboro, California are being allowed to return home after being evacuated due to the King Fire.
The King Fire has become the second-most expensive blaze to fight in California this year. A state fire spokesman says the blaze has cost more than $53 million since it began nearly two weeks ago.
