The Nevada Commission on Judicial Selection has received 13 applications for consideration to fill an open judicial seat in the Second Judicial District Court resulting from a vacancy created by the appointment of Lidia S. Stiglich to the Nevada Supreme Court.

The Nevada Commission on Judicial Selection today named 9 finalists to fill three positions on the new Court of Appeals. The nominees were selected following interviews by the Nevada Commission on Judicial Selection in Las Vegas. The names of the finalists have been sent to Governor Brian Sandoval, who will appoint three new judges from the list.
