The 83rd Nevada Legislature adjourned just after midnight with dozens of bills passed.
Democrats and Republicans each have their own set of priorities for this Nevada legislative session. Today the Democratic Speaker of the Assembly laid out his party's priorities. Republicans have issued priorities of their own as well.
Arroyo is using his platform to voice his opposition to some of the criminal justice reform laws passed in previous legislative sessions.
The main concern for the district's attorneys is Assembly Bill 236, a sweeping criminal justice reform bill passed by the Democratic legislative majority in 2019. The district attorneys say Nevada's new laws resemble reform policies in California that they believe are failing society.
