Democrats and Republicans each have their own set of priorities for this Nevada legislative session. Today the Democratic Speaker of the Assembly laid out his party's priorities. Republicans have issued priorities of their own as well.

State Democrats say they've been in communication with the Governor's office over their goals this legislative session and how to move forward to address some of the biggest issues in the state.

This week Democrats introduced Assembly Bill 121, which would increase transparency with landlords and stop hidden fees from slipping into rent costs.

Democratic Assembly Speaker Steve Yeager also discussed other bills concerning public safety, medical debt, and protecting reproductive health care workers.

Republican priorities this session include election integrity, public safety, child sex trafficking, and the economy.Â
