Families fleeing war-torn countries and other disasters have found a safe haven in Reno. A lot of those families have Northern Nevada International Center to thank for that.

The Northern Nevada International Center is asking for the community's help in finding permanent homes for three refugee families.  Some are living in hotels, and others in temporary housing that's not necessarily ideal.

On Tuesday, the Northern Nevada International Center hosted a discussion about the Middle East refugee crisis and whether or not refugees could be coming to Reno.
