The Sparks Police Department says they are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect of an alleged theft that happened at the Safeway on Vista Boulevard in the early morning hours of May 15.

Sparks police are hoping to find a man that walked out of the Safeway on Vista Boulevard with a large amount of stolen alcohol.

The Washoe County Board of Commissioners has approved expanding single-stream recycling to all areas of Washoe County. The new service will replace the familiar green and yellow crates with a recycling cart equal in size to each customer’s trash service.

The Sparks City Council unanimously approved a new Waste Management program on Monday that will make recycling easier for residents, provide customers with enhanced waste collection services, and help the city reach its goal to increase recycling.
