Students at Clayton Middle School donated to homeless children in need on Thursday. The students started researching the donation drive starting after spring break and began taking donations about three weeks ago.

Several area schools were delayed Tuesday morning due to a winter storm that has moved through the region.

Most middle schools in Washoe County offer life skills classes. These are meant to give young teenagers the information and skills necessary to succeed in the future.

School fundraisers are nothing new, but Clayton Middle School in Reno hopes to make their big event really stand out by showcasing furniture and artwork created by their very own students.
