As we get into October and “sweater weather”, our area’s color scheme switches from green to orange…and it’s absolutely gorgeous for photos. We checked out opening day of a Sierra Nevada Fall photo exhibit in town.
Atmospheric River events not only brings a lot of rain to the area, but wind too. Combine strong winds and heavy rain and trees could get uprooted and power lines could come down.
The Truckee River Restoration Project, a huge effort to bring nature back along 11 miles of the river, has finally ended after remaking its final stretch.
Botany
Two large cottonwood trees will soon be removed from Fuji Park in Carson City. These trees have been identified as hazard trees by City staff due to several instances of large falling limbs.
