The housing shortage in the Truckee Meadows just got a little better, with the opening of a new apartment building Monday. 

The Fountainhouse Complex will house ten multi-family apartment units in the heart of Victorian Square in Sparks.

"I think it's terrific," said Kathy Hess. She runs around Virginia Lake many times a week. "I love to see the changes around Reno, and here at Virginia Lake."

The Virginia Lake Apartments were built in the 1960’s. On Tuesday, the 68 units became a thing of the past.
