Crews responded to a two-car crash near Sierra Highlands Drive on Friday night.

Nevada Highway Patrol is joining forces with law enforcement across the state to try and catch drunk drivers this weekend. Drunk drivers are not only a risk to themselves but to other drivers on the roadways as well.

A pedestrian is now fighting for their life after a drunk driver struck her in the late night hours of Saturday night.

Reno Police arrested a drunk driver over the weekend after she caused a pair of crashes and tried to hide from officers.

The Washoe County District Attorney's Office reports a man has been convicted in connection to a 2017 DUI case. 35-year-old Clyde Veal was charged with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol with a prior felony DUI.

AAA is offering a free ride home after the Super Bowl with their ‘Tipsy Tow’ program to help keep drinking drivers off the road. 

Saturday night, tens of thousands celebrated ringing in the New Year in downtown Reno, but unfortunately not everyone finds a safe ride home.
