Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo sent a letter to President Biden on Tuesday urging his administration to take immediate action on the affordable housing crisis in Nevada.

The group, Locals for Affordable Housing, has launched a canvassing campaign targeted towards South Lake Tahoe. They are advocating for an annual vacancy property tax to be imposed on the more than 7,000 unoccupied homes in the resort town.

To address the continuing housing challenges, the Reno City Council hosted a workshop with UCLA urban planning and policy experts Shane Phillips.
