Over the next four days, more than 800 teens will get behind the wheel up at the Regional Public Safety Training Center.
The program teaches young drivers what happens when a vehicle loses traction, what ABS breaks do and how to avoid unexpected obstacles.
For the past 15 years, the feature of this week's Someone 2 Know has been bringing a special behind the wheel class - several times per year - to northern Nevada teen drivers. He does it all for no charge to participants, motivated solely, by the need to save lives.
More than 1,200 new drivers and their parents attended the course at the Regional Public Safety Training Center over the last four days.
"We have one mission on mind, which is save lives and make a difference on the highways," said Jeff Payne, founder of Driver's Edge.
Driver's Edge is kicking off their 10th training course in Reno. It helps teach Northern Nevada teens to learn life-saving skills on the road.
