Senior infielder Dillan Shrum has been named to CoSIDA’s Academic All-District first team. Majoring in biology, Shrum carries a 3.58 GPA while also ranking second among active Mountain West baseball players with 23 career home runs.

The University of Nevada (29-22, 20-9 MW) baseball team won a slugfest 12-10 over San Diego State (36-19, 18-12 MW) on Senior Day Saturday afternoon at Don Weir Field at Peccole Park.   The Wolf Pack won the Mountain West series 2-1 and improved to 18-4 at home and 13-2 in conference home games. 

University of Nevada (27-21, 18-8 MW)  designated hitter Mike Echavia had three hits and drove in six runs as the Wolf Pack defeated UNLV (32-20, 13-14 MW) in the final game of a three-game Mountain West Governor’s Series matchup 12-4 at Earl E. Wilson Stadium Sunday afternoon.  

Nevada (24-19, 16-6 MW) freshman Joshua Zamora’s walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth inning completed an eight-run comeback as the Wolf Pack defeated Fresno State 12-11 at Don Weir Field at Peccole Park Saturday night.  The Pack clinched the Mountain West series winning the first two games after a 4-2 victory on Friday.  

Behind performances from designated hitter Mike Echavia and pitcher Jake Jackson the University of Nevada (20-13, 14-4 MW) baseball team defeated New Mexico (12-21-1, 6-12 MW) 14-1 on Sunday to complete the three-game Mountain West series sweep of the Lobos.  

The University of Nevada (17-12, 11-4 MW) baseball team split a Mountain West doubleheader at San José State (11-19, 4-10 MW) today, taking game one 5-4 in 11 innings and dropping the second game 6-3.  The MW-leading Wolf Pack won the series taking two of the three games and stand at 17-12 overall and 11-4 in MW play.
