Crews are on scene of an avalanche that has shut down the Mount Rose Highway.
Beginning Monday, Oct. 3, the Canyon Way Lockwood exit road will be reduced to one lane weekdays between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. through mid-October. In winter 2015, the project replaced aging pavement on both the on and off-ramps of I-80 Lockwood exit 22.
Through spring, lanes will periodically be reduced on Interstate 80 in the Verdi area as part of NDOT's project to enhance interstate bridges. Single lane closures will take place through Jan. 29 on eastbound I-80 in the east Verdi area.
The Nevada Department of Transportation has closed the off west lanes of U.S. 50 to evaluate Cave Rock's slope after a recent rockfall.
On Tuesday, southbound lanes of I-580 will be reduced for a Nevada Department of Transportation project to repair a digital freeway message sign. Work will take place from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Road work has started on U.S. 50 as part of a NDOT project to repave and enhance the highway in the Mound House area. The project will repave and restripe U.S. 50 from Arrowhead Drive in east Carson City to one mile east of the State Route 341 (Virginia City) intersection.
