Nevada lawmakers considered a bill Monday that would ban forced human microchipping.

The National Weather Service in Reno says they tracked a strong thunderstorm at about 5:10 pm near Truckee or about 1 mile north of Kings Beach. 

Roads will likely be covered in snow Sunday morning, not just in the Sierra but also down to the valley floor. It’s a fast moving system with time for roads to improve during the day. 

A large boulder rolled onto westbound U.S. 50 in the Glenbrook area of Lake Tahoe around 6:30 Saturday night, causing a non-injury accident. 

The Washoe Republican Women says Carly Fiorina will not appear in Reno next week, as previously scheduled.

Glenn Miller is leading the effort in a project at the University of Nevada, Reno to convert roadside gumweed into biofuel, which could help contribute to fuel supplies for the military.
