In preparation for our collaborative “Project Homeless Connect” event coming up in late January, St. Vincent's is asking the community for donations of warm gloves, beanies, scarves, coats, new socks and underwear, sunscreen, first aid items, sleeping bags, travel-sized toiletry items and non-perishable food and snacks.

We went to see what was offered, and the stories behind the people who benefited at this year's Project Homeless Connect.

A group of more than a dozen hairstylists from various local salons are donating their services and time to offer free haircuts to local people who can't afford them. The first ever “Haircuts from the Heart” event is happening from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday in St. Vincent's Dining Room.
