Sierra Front says the brush fire near Topaz Ranch Estates is contained.

Fire officials say the Red Fire on Peavine Mountain was caused by a tree that was struck by lightning on Wednesday afternoon.

Sierra Front reports crews are responding to a brush fire near Silver Springs in the Churchill Buttes area.

The Elko Interagency Dispatch Center (EIDC) and Sierra Front are reporting  brush fire on Lamoille Highway.

Sierra Front says two lightning-sparked fires north of Reno should be fully contained sometime on Wednesday.

UPDATE: The Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center says the 'Kohls Fire' off Pyramid Highway near Disc Drive has been controlled at 18 acres. 

Sierra Front is reporting a brush fire near Golden Eagle Park in Sparks. The cause and size of the fire are unknown at this time. This is a developing story.

Fire crews are mopping up after a small fire north of Reno between Panther and Sun Valleys. 

Sierra Front is reporting that the Como fire is burning in the Pine Nut Mountains, southeast of Carson City.
