The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in the Carson City District, along with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) and the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) say fire restrictions are being lifted on Wednesday.
Restrictions will expire at 12:01 a.m., Saturday morning.
Since Memorial Day, the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District have responded to almost two fires per day, on average. Because most fires are human-caused, those planning to celebrate the Fourth of July outside need to take precautions.
