It’s not unusual to see bears in our area, some of them even getting into homes. For that reason, every year, NDOW sets up traps to catch nuisance bears which they say helps keep the animals out of neighborhoods.

A bear and her cub are the suspects in a string of home break-ins in Stateline, prompting the Nevada Department of Wildlife to set a bear trap in the neighborhood.

A black bear sow and her three male cubs were captured Thursday morning on the west side of Carson City by the Nevada Department of Wildlife. The four bears were released back into the wild on Friday morning in the Ash Canyon area west of Nevada's capital city.
