Sparks PD Launches Initiative to Increase Transparency

The State of Nevada Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety awarded a grant to the Sparks Police Department (SPD).

The grant is worth $11,000, and supports SPD's participation in the 2020-2021 Regional School Zone Safety Initiative. 

The initiative coordinates Sparks Police Department, Nevada Highway Patrol, and Washoe County School District Police Department to help increase enforcement and education efforts for school zones.
