The Sparks Police Department says they need help identifying a suspect of a grand theft auto at Diamond Motors on Prater Way.

They said on November 19 around 5:12 p.m. employees with Diamond Motors called to report a theft of a vehicle. Employees said they started the vehicle and left it running for a customer, then went inside the business to retrieve a license plate.

They returned moments later to find the vehicle driving down the road. They said it was not the customer who took the car.

The suspect took a grey 2007 Acura MDX and it did not have any license plates at the time.

Anyone with any information related to this case is urged to contact the Sparks Police Department at (775) 353-2225 or Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900. You will remain anonymous.
