With their Christmas party canceled due to COVID-19, The Sparks Police SWAT Team used all the money to shop for groceries for Share Your Christmas.
"We are able to interact with our community on a daily basis and we see the people in need and we have seen that increase with the pandemic," says Lieutenant Chris Rowe with Sparks Police SWAT Team.
The team collected $800 from its members and with some help from Safeway and Smith's they were able to give 938 pounds of food to local families.
