Lakers’ Luka Doncic suspended for 1 game by NBA after his 16th technical foul

Luka Doncic was suspended one game by the NBA after picking up his 16th technical foul of the season. The league announced on that Doncic was suspended after a scuffle in the Lakers’ win over Brooklyn on Friday night. Ziaire Williams yelled in Doncic’s space after an offensive foul call. Doncic pushed Williams’ arm and Williams swiped across Doncic’s face. Officials reviewed the play and gave both players technicals. Under NBA rules, the 16th technical triggers an automatic suspension without pay. Doncic said he tried to leave and did not say anything to Williams.
