Bettors are hoping for big wins heading into Super Bowl weekend. The Peppermill Sportsbook expects there to be 200-300 prop bets available.

"People always want to know what the highest odds are. So right now, if you want, you can bet who is going to score the first touchdown. If you bet that no touchdown happens, that's 500-1. I wouldn't bet that personally, and that's because these teams score so many points," said Peppermill Sportsbook Director of Race and Sports John Haines.

"I like some of the prop bets with the wide receivers from Tampa Bay. There's maybe some of the other things I'm looking into," said sports bettor Justin Dhanda.

"The color of the Gatorade-that's a big one. Once I found out about that I had to come down here to see if it's available to bet on. I'm going with orange, that's the color it was last year," said Robert Kludt.

You heard right. Klundt is betting on the color of the Gatorade, and several other bets. He's not waiting to get his money in. "It's exciting right now with the odds that are out. I like the numbers right now," said Klundt. "There's just so many variables this year. We've actually done a really good job with the news and the COVID tests they're doing. We've been adjusting the lines as they go, but the public doesn't seem to care. I mean the public money usually comes in a little later."

Right now that money is being a little more focused on Kansas City Chiefs.

Variables continue to change, and percentage points are constantly evolving with each alteration. "Usually 80% of the public money comes day before and day of," said Haines.

"I'm waiting for the COVID reports to come out before I bet. I want to see who is on the field and who is not. Maybe someone gets hurt before the Super Bowl," said Dhanda. He is one of those waiting until the day of the game.

When he does bet, he will find COVID restrictions are in place at the Peppermill Sportsbook. Plexiglass is everywhere, tables are spaced out, party rooms are open for the overflow of Sportsbook patrons and there will be no buffets. Food can ordered on the Peppermill's website and delivered right to bettors' tables if they want eat it right there.
