An internationally-known brand is expanding its footprint in Douglas County.
Seattle-based Starbucks broke ground in Minden to start expansion on their distribution center. The distribution center has been in Minden for 14-years, and this expansion will be adding around 100 new jobs.
"The commitment of the partners have been tremendous, the performance have been tremendous, the support of the community has been tremendous," said Executive Vice President Hans Melotte. "So there really is no reason not to further invest in this area versus other parts of the globe." Â
The project will take about 12 months to complete and some of the new jobs that it will be adding include managers, supervisors and even distribution partners.
