NWS: Cold Front to Move Into Region Saturday

Chain restrictions are in place Wednesday night ahead of a powerful winter storm.

School Delays and Cancellations:

All Incline Schools: Canceled 

Lake Tahoe Unified School District: Canceled 

Chains required on all vehicles except 4-wheel drive with snow tires: 

  • I-80 from Alta to Donner Lake
  • SR-89 from Alder Drive to Henness Pass Road

Chains or snow tires required: 

  • SR-89 from I-80 to Squaw Valley Road

The National Weather Service issued a Sierra Blizzard Warning Thursday morning to Friday morning.
